Highwood Psychology

Taking the first steps towards therapy is a sign of strength and self-respect. Whether you feel stuck, are facing a challenging relationship situation, dealing with anger, trauma, anxiety or depression, I offer a supportive space to enable real and lasting change.

I work with men and couples in Calgary who are struggling, feel inadequate or overwhelmed and want to build more meaningful lives and relationships. We’ll focus on what matters to you, using recognized approaches to address your needs including burnout, ADHD, trauma, relationships and family difficulties.

I use different approaches depending on what is most helpful for you, drawing on EMDR, parts work, somatic or body based approaches, vagus nerve work, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Relational Life Therapy (RLT).

As a therapist, I believe that change starts with understanding yourself—not just on the surface, but at a deeper level. Together, we’ll explore the emotional habits and beliefs that have shaped you, while working toward helpful ways of responding to life, work, and the people around you.

I have previously worked as a professional engineer and pastor prior to completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I’ve moved through my own life challenges—and that lived experience informs the empathy, respect, and practicality I bring to therapy.

Whether you’re coming in on your own or as a couple, I offer a space where you can be real. Expect a bit of humour, lots of safety, curiosity, and a strong commitment to your growth. Therapy can be serious—but it doesn’t always have to feel heavy.

Let’s work together to get you where you want to be—stronger, clearer, and more connected in your life and relationships.
